About this project
The design proposes a rectilinear massing clad in pale limestone-toned stone, deliberately setting aside the domed typology in favour of clean horizontal volumes. Two minarets of unequal height anchor the composition — prismatic shafts whose recessed faces are filled with geometric mashrabiya grilles, backlit at night to read as luminous vertical lanterns crowned with gold crescent finials.

Geometric latticework is the primary ornamental register: broad bands of patterned screens frame the entrance portal and run across the upper façade, filtering direct sunlight into the prayer hall and managing solar gain in Riyadh's harsh climate without relying on deep overhangs. The corner site in a low-rise residential district is organised with a paved forecourt, perimeter planting of palms, and street-level parking — a modest civic setting for a neighbourhood-scale congregation.

Pioneer Landmarks contributed as architectural consultant across the full architectural design scope, developing the massing strategy, façade composition, and integration of the ornamental screen system that gives the building its character at both day and night.
