About this project
The design centres a low, multi-wing building around a dominant octagonal pavilion capped by a pyramidal hip roof. Stone-clad bases transition to plastered upper walls finished with arched openings, dark steel-framed glazing, and terracotta tile roofing — a vocabulary that draws on Andalusian and classical Arabic architectural registers without direct quotation. A tiered stone fountain anchors the forecourt, while a curtain of water jets along the pool edge frames the approach from within the grounds.

The 3,500 m² plot is organised around a large, organically shaped pool that occupies the centre of the site, with the built footprint of 1,200 m² held to one end. Dense planting on all perimeters — olives, palms, and shrubs — forms a thermal and visual buffer appropriate to Riyadh's arid climate, shading the sun-lounger terrace and moderating the outdoor microclimate. The programme includes an arrival court, terrace dining, and pool amenities distributed across the building's flanking wings.

Pioneer Landmarks served as architectural consultant, responsible for the architectural design of the project. The work encompassed the massing strategy, façade composition, landscape integration, and the relationship between built volume and the extensive outdoor leisure area that defines the resort's character.
