Structural Engineering

Our structural engineers size and detail the systems that hold each project up, working to international codes and Saudi regulations. We analyse gravity, wind, and seismic loading and select concrete or steel schemes that balance safety, buildability, and material economy. Engaged alongside the architecture from concept, the structure is coordinated early so it supports the design intent instead of fighting it.

Structural engineering — mixed-use development
(04)Overview

How we work

We develop the gravity and lateral systems that carry every project, choosing between reinforced concrete frames, flat slabs, post-tensioned floors, and steel framing on the basis of span, height, programme, and cost. Lateral stability — shear walls, cores, and bracing — is analysed against wind and seismic demand to the Saudi Building Code, with member sizes and reinforcement optimised so the frame is safe without being wasteful.

Foundations are designed from the geotechnical report, matching pad, raft, or piled solutions to the soil profile and water table found on the Riyadh and wider Kingdom sites we work across. For towers and mixed-use complexes we pay particular attention to differential settlement, transfer structures, and the load paths around large clear spans in malls and hotels.

Structural models are built and coordinated in BIM alongside architecture and the services disciplines, so penetrations, plant loads, and openings are agreed in the model rather than cut on site. We issue analysis reports and detailed, stamped drawings that contractors can build from and that satisfy authority review.
